For more than a decade, Pacifico Energy has created value across the renewable energy value chain, from development, finance, and construction to the operation of generating assets, including solar, wind, and energy storage systems and more in the Asia-Pacific region.

 

In the offshore wind sector, Pacifico Energy continues to expand its market presence with a total capacity of over 10 GW under development to meet the Asia-Pacific region’s growing demand for renewable energy.

Korea

Pacifico Energy is the first U.S. renewable energy company to enter Korea’s offshore wind power market. Since 2019, Pacifico Energy Korea, its Korean subsidiary, has been developing a large-scale 3.2 GW offshore wind project cluster in Jindo County, South Jeolla Province, Korea. The Myeong Ryang Offshore Wind Project, as the first phase of the overall cluster, is currently undergoing the Electricity Business License application process.

North America

Pacifico Energy provides dynamic renewable energy development and energy services through its United States-focused subsidiary, Pacifico Power, which specializes in the development, financing, construction, and operation of distributed generation projects. With a focus on sustainability and innovation, Pacifico Power is at the forefront of the transition towards clean energy solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technology and strategic partnerships to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly electricity generation.

Japan

Pacifico Energy is the largest solar developer with 8 of its projects listed in the top 20 largest solar projects in Japan. Pacifico Energy’s Japan team has developed 21 utility-scale solar projects throughout Japan totaling in excess of 1.3 GW, including the 258 MW Sakuto solar power plant in Okayama that reached commercial operation in 2019 and is the largest solar power project in the country.

 

Pacifico Energy is also a leader of energy storage systems in the country. The company has been developing ESS projects totaling over 100 MWh since its commencement of the first commercial operation of a BESS in Japan.

SSE Pacifico

In 2021, Pacifico Energy formed SSE Pacifico, an offshore wind development joint venture with SSE plc, a U.K.-based electric power company, signaling Pacifico Energy’s entrance into one of the Asia-Pacific region’s key offshore wind markets.

Vietnam

Pacifico Energy has successfully developed and constructed the 40 MW Mui Ne Solar Plant in Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan, one of the first renewable projects completed in Vietnam by an international developer, and is getting set to commission the Sunpro Wind Farm Project, a near-shore wind farm situated near the coast of Binh Dai, Ben Tre.
