Position Overview
Pacifico Energy is a U.S.-based renewable energy company specializing in the development, construction, operation and asset management of wind, solar, hydrogen, and energy storage system (ESS) projects across the U.S. and in the Asia-Pacific region. We have been developing a large-scale 3.2 GW offshore wind project cluster in South Jeolla Province, Korea, and are looking to grow our team in Seoul.
Electrical Package Lead is a key role responsible for the design, permitting and execution of the complete electrical scope of Company’s projects in Korea. This includes export cable, array cable, offshore substation, onshore substation, and grid interconnection. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, external consultants, component suppliers, EPC contractors and KEPCO to ensure reliable grid connection and compliance with Korean regulations and international standards.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, external consultants, component suppliers, EPC contractors and KEPCO to ensure reliable grid connection and compliance with Korean regulations and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Electrical Package Management: Lead the design and integration of export cable, array cable, offshore substation, onshore substation, and grid interconnection for large-scale offshore wind projects.
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, protection schemes, and interconnection drawings in compliance with KEPCO requirements.
- Conduct power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, fault analysis, grounding, and protection coordination.
- Manage KEPCO interconnection applications, approvals, and technical discussions to secure timely grid connection.
- Ensure compliance with Korean electrical codes (KESCO), KEPCO grid standards, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC).
- Support permitting processes by preparing technical documentation for KEPCO and government agencies.
- Provide technical support during development, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with EPC contractors, consultants, and component suppliers to ensure quality, performance and schedule.
- Contribute to feasibility studies and technical due diligence for new and ongoing projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering for renewable energy or power systems, preferably including offshore wind.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of KEPCO interconnection processes and Korean regulatory approvals.
- Proficiency in engineering design and analysis software (AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD).
- Strong understanding of Korean electrical codes (KESCO), KEPCO standards, and international best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills in both technical and regulatory contexts.
- Professional Engineer license or equivalent Korean certificate (preferred).
